Privacy Policy

Proofly is built with a privacy-first mindset. We only capture what is necessary to help you split bills, and we never touch your browsing history or personal accounts.

Data Collection

Proofly only collects information from order confirmation pages on supported websites (like Amazon, Swiggy, Airbnb, etc.) when you are actively using the extension. This includes:

Retailer Name
Order Total and Currency
List of Items Purchased
Order ID and Date

Data Storage

Captured receipt data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's storage.local API. This data remains on your machine and is not sent to our servers unless you choose to share a split.

Data Sharing

Data is only uploaded to our secure Firebase Firestore database when you explicitly create a split link to share with friends. In this case, only the specific split details you confirmed are stored to facilitate the shared split page.

What We Don't Do

We do not have access to your email or passwords.
We do not access your payment card or bank details.
We do not collect your browsing history or track you across the web.
